Format of captions

Now that the blog is getting some traffic, I am curious to get some feedback on the format of the captions. Which of the caption formats do you humans prefer? Which ones are easy to read on whatever device you use to view my blog?

Is it the ones where the text is on the side, like this one: "Getting Love Back"

What about the ones where the text is wide, like this: "Oops"

Is text on the bottom preferable, like in this one: "Save to Arousal"

For stories with multiple pictures, do you prefer the ones where it is one long image, like "Sight and Value" or separate images, like "Distraction"
